We recommend customers run the latest versions of VNC Viewer and VNC Server, available from, to maximise the security of their RealVNC deployment.īelow is a complete list of security issues which have affected RealVNC software. I looked on the net if there’s a way to force the graphic card to simulate the connection to a monitor via software or tweaking the settings of the card but I didn’t find anything.RealVNC takes pride in our security position and believes in full transparency regarding the security of our software. I don’t think that this is the typical VNC black screen issue that is well documented in this sub and in many sites, but it’s something related to the way the graphic card behaves when it doesn’t detect a monitor. This is the story: I installed VNCserver on a PC with a nVidia GTX 1660 Super graphic card, and I’m connecting to it via VNC from different devices (2 PCs and one tablet Android): the strange thing is that if the nVidia graphic card of the PC is connected to a display monitor via HDMI cable everything works fine, but if I disconnect the HDMI cable from the monitor and I try to connect to the VNCServer all I get is just a black screen. I premise that I’m a VNC user since 2015, so I have some experience with this software, and that I upgraded bot VNCServer and VNCViewer to the last rleases available. I am experiencing a strange issue connecting to VNCserver.
